Don’t let itching deter you! If you experience itching, keep your skin clean by daily shampooing (with a gentle shampoo) and optionally using a conditioner. Your skin will eventually adjust to the new situation. Itching should be only a temporary phase. If you happen to need more relief, try applying some baby oil or moisturizing lotion to the areas that are itching. That should help to soothe your skin while you go through the transition.
The best beard balm is going to be one where a little of the ingredient goes a long way. Not only can too much oil clog your pores, having to slather it on overly much might be the sign of a poor-quality product, so that’s something to keep in mind.

So you found the perfect beard oil, but then you wonder: How exactly do I use beard oil? I get this question a lot. Beard oil, unlike beard balm or waxes, is already in liquid form. A little bit of oil tends to go a long way. Men will often run out of beard oil quickly, but with judicial use, you can make a 1oz vial of beard oil last many months. My favorite tool for applying beard oil is the Misto oil sprayer.

#1 RATED BEARD OIL – Moisturizes beard hair and skin, eliminates itching and dandruff (beard-druff) for a kissable and respectable beard. Use daily for the best beard effect. Even if your beard grows up past your cheek, cover it, the skin, and the follicle beneath it with anti-oxidant power almost like a tonic and thickener.
Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, since I’m unfamiliar with the products I’d have a hard time determining what might be causing your breakouts. Instead, I’ll point you in the direction of a product that I’m confident will help relieve your breakouts and help you grow a strong, healthy beard. Our Core Beard Kit comes with your choice of all natural soap, beard oil and beard balm, as well as a moustache wax. I’d highly recommend choosing our Birch Tar Soap in the kit. If you read about our Birch Tar Soap you’ll see quite a few reviews from customers talking about how it helped them with their acne. If you take a look at our Beard Oil and Beard Balm reviews you’ll notice that there really aren’t any reviews from customers who’ve had any problems with our products causing them to breakout.
To put it simply, beard balm is a leave-in conditioner. It moisturizes, conditions, softens and helps you style your beard. The majority of beard balms contain shea butter (for softening and moisturizing), sweet almond oil (for conditioning and growth), and a sealant such as beeswax (to retain moisture).
Essentially, the parts of a strand of hair are: the medulla, the cortex and the cuticle. For understanding hair as it pertains to your beard needs, you can forget the medulla, which is the inner core and lacks structure, and focus on the latter two. The cortex is the middle layer where hair gets its structure from, and the shape of the cortex—round or oval—determines how curly or straight your hair is. (Curlier hair has a more oval shape whereas straight has a more rounded shape.) Melanin lies here in the cortex as well and works to give your hair its color. The cuticle is the outer layer of your hair and it’s what repels excess water that your cortex layer has drawn in.
The length of your beard – medium, short, stubble – is an important factor when choosing a trimmer. Make sure that the one you choose as multiple length settings. Also, some trimmers are best for short hair, others with longer hair – and so on. The bottom line is that the trimmer you choose supports the length of beard you have.
Frequency depends on length and individual need based on the dryness of your hair or skin.  How often you take to a beard balm will be a matter of trial and error. “If you grow your beard long enough, it’ll start talking to you,” Harvey said. “You’ll know what to do.”
If you’re new to beard trimming, experts suggest that you use the longest length setting to start. That will help prevent you from cutting your beard too short as you’re getting the hang of your new trimmer.
One of the Best Professional Beard trimmer, it is a choice of many professional barbers around. It is designed in a solid body and has almost all the features that can make it desirable to any man. It is considered to be a popular choice by people having the most sensitive skin. Some of its distinguishable features are-
It is a myth that shaving a beard will make it grow thicker and faster. There is no scientific evidence to support the claim. Just wait and see how your beard growth progresses naturally. Also, keep in mind that beard growth patterns are largely genetic — if the men in your family can grow thicker beards, then you will likely be able to as well. If not, then you may be out of luck.
The first ingredients in your recipe are your carrier oils. Basically, mix and match your oils to get about 1oz’s worth (you can always do more or less as desired; I have 1oz bottles, so that’s how much I made). In this first recipe I measured out half an ounce each of jojoba oil and sweet almond oil. You could also simply use a single carrier oil rather than mixing. Again, it’s about scent and the health benefits accrued, as well as what feels best on your skin. Experiment with various combinations of carrier oils to find what you like best.
Generally the “cheek line”, the upper limit of the beard on the cheeks, is best left natural. Some men butcher otherwise excellent beards by shaving the cheeks into strange shapes. Unless your beard appears to be starting just below your eyes, you probably are better off not shaving or sculpting the beard on your cheeks.
The best practice here is to grow what you got. That means if your chin comes in well, grow it out. If your mustache is rocking, grow it out! If you have some mutton chops, rock those too! Keep the areas that are a little thinner at a short length. You can rock the stubble or the shadow. Whether that’s the beard stache, scruffy goat, or just mutton chops, then it’ll leave you with a really unique style. Grow it out for a few months to see what you have, then trim the other areas to rock what you have! High school will not be your peak. You are going to continue to grow, and your beard will get better.

Although it’s an average weight for a beard trimmer at only one pound, the sleek design doesn’t give it as good of a grip and its design doesn’t fit as well in your hand as other models we have reviewed.
A softer beard starts with a good foundation. Wash your beard with beard shampoo only, so that your beard’s natural pH is maintained and you aren’t exposed to any harsh abrasives that might roughen up your hair.
Hair clippers are designed to cut longer hair and typically come with several attachments to help you do the job. They’re also made to cut larger chunks of hair more quickly and usually don’t cut very close to the skin.
Another part of the product are the essential oils. As the name might imply – they are the ones that give the oil its sense and essence and they are the ones that you will smell as soon as you open the bottle and what other people will smell when they stand next to you to admire your glorious mane.
Huntsman Beard Co’s Forest Beard Oil prides itself on delivering guaranteed kissable chops – which is always a bonus, of course – but the real draw is its ability to scratch out that irritating itchy beard syndrome and reduce beard dandruff (which sounds disgusting, but let’s face it guys, it’s real – anyone with a beard and a black t-shirt can attest to that). The Forest moniker is well earned too, as it does indeed exude a nostril-pleasing whiff of pine and Moroccan cedar.
The thing that makes these beard oils “premium” is the rare or unique essential oil that gives the beard oil its scent and therapeutic characteristics. For example, the tobacco beard oil doesn’t have tobacco in it, but instead has a natural essential oil that mimics the scent of rich pipe tobacco. These rarer essential oils are more expensive to use–thus the price.
There’s no such thing as a perfect beard. We’re our own worst critic, so there will always be something you will find “wrong” about your beard. That’s ok though. It’ll keep you humble, and encourage you to support the people around you who want to grow their facial hair out too. You may not be able to solve every issue you find, but we can definitely help you with a few of them. Strap in, cause we’re going through itchy beards, dandruff, patches, split ends, and losing your beard hairs. Most of it goes down to how you care for your beard and the products you use.
This one for all beards trimming expert has multiple trimming capabilities which do the purposeful in just the perfect way. The one exclusive feature which makes this product ultimate is its working proficiency in both the wet and the dry trimming needs. The battery supports 50 minutes operation after 15 charging hours. This mens beard trimmer comes with 19 adjustable length setting that definitely allows for enough scope to trim beard of different lengths.

  1. You might be concerned that putting oil on your face will lead to breakouts. Andy Bosselman, founder of Arithmetic, the company behind the highly acclaimed Acne Control Complex, says it’s actually quite the opposite: “Beard oils are not likely to cause pimples, in fact, they may even help your complexion.”
How long it takes to grow a beard largely depends on a combination of genetics and the beard length and beard fullness you’re aiming for, as well several other factors. Naturally, growing a short beard will result in a shorter growth time. A close-cropped, stubbly beard can come in a week or two. Long beards, on the other hand, can take years of growing for even the fastest hair growers.
Beard balm is a versatile product. You don’t need to fully apply it as it can be used sparingly in problem areas such as the sideburns. As a control product it is designed to help give shape and keep down stray hairs. It may take a few tries to get the amount right but once you do you’ll be ready to hit the town.

  2. While you’ll find the perfect amount through trial and error, a good rule of thumb is a dime-sized puddle in your palm for beard oil and a fingertip-sized blob for beard balm. Another helpful hint is to think of it as (much classier) hair gel for your beard — while less will go further compared to gel, your face-hair will tell you when it’s nice and saturated much like your head-hair will.
For many men, the best-looking beard is one in which the hair on the sides of your face is slightly shorter than the hair on your chin. That said, trim your cheeks down to your jawline, then go back to your cheeks for a final pass with a length setting that’s 2mm shorter. You’ll like how your beard looks.
Beardbrand came from very humble beginnings when we launched with a YouTube channel and a blog. Our goal from the first day was to change the way society views beardsmen and wanted to make a big mark on the world.

  3. BYU students led a campaign to loosen the beard restrictions in 2014,[58][59][60][61] but it had the opposite effect at Church Educational System schools: some who had previously been granted beard exceptions were found no longer to qualify, and for a brief period the LDS Business College required students with a registered exception to wear a “beard badge”, which was likened to a “badge of shame”. Some students also join in with shaming their fellow beard-wearing students, even those with registered exceptions.[62]
Your hydration routine begins with using products specifically designed for your face and beard and not products designed for your scalp. Your scalp has about 100k hair follicles and your face only about 30k. A beard wash will be more gentle and less likely to cause dryness on your face. In addition to that, by using Beardbrand beard softener over a hair conditioner you will be using a product that is silicone free and won’t build up over time. That silicone builds up on your beard can cause dullness to your beard as well as some silicone flaking.
On Halloween of 2014, Eric Bandholz shared the Beardbrand story with the sharks of Shark Tank. We made a big impact on them and even was able to convince Lori (a beard hater) to feel the softness of a Beardbrand beard.

That being said, there is one thing you have to be careful with: rinsing. After each step, make sure you got all the extra product off your beard, because otherwise, this will have the opposite effect: instead of getting softer, your beard will get dry and, thus, rougher.
Don’t apply beard oil or balm on wet beard. Using this practice will not allow your beard to absorb the product effectively, because the water will dilute the oils or will prevent them from being spread evenly across your beard.
When it comes to cleaning your beard, we highly recommend using a quality beard shampoo or wash that thoroughly cleanses your facial hair. Note: That means not using the same shampoo that you use on your head.
As the closest to sebum, jojoba oil is the super star natural cosmetic product. It can hydrate the skin, saving you from dandruff. Due to its moisturising properties, it protects the hair from dryness and frizziness.
Comb your beard regularly. Most trimmers will come with beard combs, but you can also use the same variety of brush or comb you might use on your hair, and comb your beard downward, with the grain, to make sure it lays nice and flat against your face. This is also a good way of seeing whether or not it needs a trim.
A lot of growing a beard revolves around properly taking care of it. You can care for your beard throughout the day with beard oil and balm. You can train the hairs with a boar bristle brush and a comb. This will also help spread the natural oil you produce, sebum, throughout your beard. You can use scissors to trim down your beard and mustache, and also get rid of split ends. Keeping it clean is as simple as using beard wash and softener a few days a week.

  4. The verdict: Facial hair contouring (aka beardtouring) is now a thing, and in order to keep up with such bespoke grooming trends, a multi-performance trimmer is essential. Braun ensures you’ll keep up appearances by bundling its well-received MGK3045 trimmer with several accessories to service every beard-styling job in existence: stubble, short, medium and long beards, hair clipping, contouring and clean shaving. Utilise any of the 13 precision length settings or clip on the accompanying detail trimmer to master your current signature look. You’ll find the bonus Gillette Fusion ProGlide Razor to be a sweet extra for cleaning up the cheek and neck areas.
A bigger beard or more hair on your face will also make your beard dry since the oil making deposits in your skin won’t be sufficient for all the newly sprung hair. This is the reason a lot of men have problems with dry skin and dandruff – and it can all be stopped with beard oil. Special oils developed just for your beard will hydrate your skin and hair, making it healthier, more resistant and less likely to succumb to the above mentioned issues.
Try this: After styling or ‘doing’ your hair, apply your beard oil. The oil is a bit heavy and using it before styling your hair could make your hair greasier than ideal. Apply 4-6 drops of oil after each wash and use multiple times a day if needed. This should soften your facial hair and keep it super healthy and fresh.
A deadly combination of a shaver, styler and a trimmer and that too from the best brand in the industry– Though, this does not leave much to ask for but there is a whole list of its unique features that makes the Braun Cruzer 6 one of the most sought after men’s beard trimmer.
Coconut oil seems to win the battle of natural oils. Due to its many properties that it comes with, the great scent and the ease to formulate, it is a great ingredient for an all natural cosmetic product.

  5. If you avoid that temptation to shave it off when the itching becomes unbearable, you will reach a point where the hairs will soften and the itching will subside. Once the facial hair becomes soft, the growth will be less irritating.
Biotin is a natural hair growth supplement that you can take to help improve the hair quality and growth. This is especially helpful in men who suffer thin, patchy beards. Biotin contains Vitamin B6, C, and E, which will help keep your hair and skin in top shape. The downside to this supplement is that hair and nails are much alike, and accelerated nails and other bodily hair are likely to occur. So make sure you can deal with this potential before going forward.
