Odds are you know whether or not this is a possibility by now-so don’t fight nature if you suffer from boy face. But if you can (and would like to) acquire some facial fur, LA-based Baxter Finley barber Christian Olvera has some tips for doing it right. Hit the sweet spot (natural and groomed—not manicured) and a beard will look great with both a beanie and a double-breasted jacket this fall.
Body hair is closely linked with your image and, to some extent, reflects your personality. But maintaining the shape and look of your beard is more than just pretension. And before even considering a beard trimmer, you need to determine what its main purpose(s) will be. Is it for perfecting the 5 o’clock shadow or transforming yourself into a real-life Rick Grimes? Preserving skin? Manscaping? Every man should know the importance of trimming facial hair, for while most of the benefits are complementary to one’s appearance, the hindrances can ruin one’s image. Examples:
Coconut oil, being an excellent moisturizing agent, is often used in beard oils. The coconut oil that you buy in the store is most often in solid form, as it has a high melting point of about 76 degrees F. This can obviously make it difficult to work with. To use coconut oil as a base carrier of your beard oil, you’ll have to first melt it so you can mix with your essential oils. I put a large tablespoon of the solid oil into a dish, then set that dish into another that had hot water. The oil liquified in no time and I was able to mix in a few drops of an essential oil. It will then re-solidify, and you end up with more of a beard balm. You simply rub a little on your fingers, and your body heat will melt it, thereby turning it into oil again, ready to use on your facial hair.
Don’t give up! Set a target date. For example, give yourself a minimum of six weeks’ growth before deciding to abandon your beard-growing effort. Commit to not shaving before that six weeks is up. When you’ve reached the six weeks date, then you can decide whether you want to continue with the beard or get rid of it.
i m 18 years old,,i’ve little but visible mustache and beard and i just want to grow it to the fullest..my question is that do beard oils increase the growth of facial hair and should i use to apply it on my face to grow beard ..??
So I just started growing my goatee out again. I have been putting it off for a while now because I hate the initial itching that comes with it. I have ridiculously course whiskers so I need something to make it softer. I decided to give this stuff a try and I will admit that I am very happy with the results. I’m not going to sit here and say that my whiskers are as soft as a baby birds feathers but they are noticeably softer. It has cut the itching in half. If I had to come up with one complaint it would be that I wish the bottle was double the size for the price. I like to put on more than the recommended dose. All in all I am very pleased!

The Cedarwood Beard Oil Conditioner follows the Beau Brummell mission of improving men’s lives through better grooming. Rubbing a small amount of it on your beard makes your beard smoother, softer, and healthier.
Why not just use a moisturizer, then? According to Pirotta, “Most lotions are actually watered-down oils, which allows the growth of bacteria and causes the oils to go rancid without some type of added preservatives. Oils lock in moisture and help protect the skin against environmental effects, while delivering a potent dose of nutrients.”
There are several alternatives to shaving cream that can be used to shave with and coconut oil can do a great job. It gives you this extra lubricity to your skin and facial hair so that the razor can glide easily on your face.
With a focus on patchy beards and making them look fuller, Drew reviews products, tools, DIY tips to improve the overall look of your beard. He does a vlog style video every once in awhile, but don’t worry his beard is still there.
Try this: Wash your facial hair like you wash your scalp. Gently scrub with your beard soap, massaging the skin under your skin and rinse thoroughly. It isn’t necessary to wash everyday just like it isn’t necessary with your hair. You should cleanse your skin normally though to keep from dirt and grime build up, especially if you sweat regularly.
Because it worked so well on scalp hair, men naturally took the next step to see if it would work on their face. And it did, although not in the same way. Specifically, Minoxidil stimulates hair follicles already on your face rather than stimulating new growth as it does on your head.
If you tackle the patchy problem from each of these angles while avoiding snake oil, it will usually all work itself out. Even if you beard stays patchy due to genetics, remember patchy beards can look awesome when you know how to maintain them.

Beard balm is a styling and shaping aid as well as a leave in beard conditioner. A good beard balm should moisturize your facial hair, provide hold for styling and make your beard look thicker. For best results, avoid beard balms using synthetic sealants like petroleum jelly as they may irritate your skin and damage facial hair. Find a beard balm that contains all natural sealants like shea butter, beeswax or lanolin. These ingredients are natural, help your beard look thicker and are less likely to irritate your skin.
I was growing a beard for about 3 months, and it was looking pretty good but there was definite patchiness (I had since had to shave due to a new job). I kept the mustache and I had the basic shape of the mustache I was wanting to go for but it didn’t fill in as thick as I would prefer it to, understanding that beard oil doesn’t quite help growth what can you recommend I do to get that mustache filled in properly? I know it’s a determination process but I know there’s gotta be some way to at least speed up the process somewhat. Also in my early 20’s if that’s a variable factor. Waiting for a reply at anytime!
Lastly, keep that ‘stache moisturized! Use quality all natural beard oil, and an all natural moustache wax if you need help maintaining a tidy moustache. You can find those here:http://themodcabin.com/product-category/beard-oils/ and here: http://themodcabin.com/product-category/moustache-waxes/

Depending on the size of your beard, you may need to use a few more drops for major coverage. Huge beards may need 7 or 8 drops, whereas smaller ones may only need 3 or 4. Our 1oz containers may seem like a small amount, but since you’re only using a few drops a day, it should last several months!
Beardbrand came from very humble beginnings when we launched with a YouTube channel and a blog. Our goal from the first day was to change the way society views beardsmen and wanted to make a big mark on the world.

My first question here would have to be what are you using to wash this creature of yours? Soap, shampoo? My suggestion would be to try our cleansing oil. This is a non soap cleanser that you can use on your face and beard. Pump it into your palm and massage it into your skin, and through your beard like a shampoo, however this won’t produce any lather. Rinse it out with warm water. Cleansing oil could be good for you, because it won’t strip your hair of it’s natural oils, which is sounds like you really need.
