You might want to try out the Philips 5000 series beard trimmers. It is washable, has a dual blade, cuts from 0.4 up to 10.0mm, even closer if you take off the comb, runs for 60 minutes, recharge done in 1 hour.
Go easy on your beard. You don’t to always be touching it, grabbing at it, brushing, or combing it. Let it breathe. Cotton sheets and pillowcases can also be a cause of the friction pulling at your beard, so maybe consider satin sheets. They are much smoother and less likely to lead to those lost hairs you find in the morning.

Great article! I’ve had quite a lot of issues where my face is itching when trying to grow a beard which has put me off it every time. I decided a few months back that I’ll grow a beard no matter what and started using beard oils to relieve the itching. I’ve tried quite a few, but the best so far is Unicuscent Green leaves. A friend recommended it and works fantastic with a lovely smell so I don’t need a perfume anymore. They only deliver to UK though
And of course, there’s the Bandholz. As previously stated, the Bandholz is a beard style that looks universally good no matter what you look like underneath it. On the one hand, it is large so it pretty much covers your lower face and neck. But’s also got a slight squarishness to the silhouette which sharpens up men with softer features but doesn’t look like overkill on men with angular features. Because of this aspect, it truly looks good on anyone.
Now time for the actual kissing part. Everyone is different and no matter who you are kissing, they’re gonna have a different preference. Odds are you’ll probably get hair in your mouth, and they’ll get hair in theirs. That’s just the nature of the beast. But, you’re probably not kissing 10 hours a day. You’re a busy guy with other shit to do. One way to do it, is to just go right in. This is for those quick pecks, and you’re gonna get a little bit of mustache in there. The other way to do it is to just lift up your stache and split it down the middle. Lastly, you can come in at a downward motion to essentially play your hair on their upper lip instead of getting it in their mouth.

Hi, I keep a very short beard (a little longer than a stubble, maybe 1/8th inch or so). Would you recommend balm or oil to keep it soft and neat? If oil, would grapeseed and/or avocado oil be good? Thanks
Defy the urge to trim or shape your beard. If you want the hair to come in quickly, leave it alone while it grows. You will have the chance to groom the beard after about four to six weeks when it is full.
Only 6 Length Settings: To many men, 6 length settings may be more than enough, but just as many men are looking for more versatile options from their beard trimmer. If you want more than 6 length options from your beard trimmer, then the search continues.
Beard balm or beard oil? This may be the most frequent question we get asked at The Mod Cabin. Some people say they are one and the same. This simply is not true. Beard balm is a pomade made by mixing, heating and cooling moisturizers and sealants. Beard oil is a leave in moisturizer and conditioner made by mixing carrier oils with essential oil blends or in some cases fragrance oils. In this post we will explain the differences between beard balm and beard oil and when to use each. We will start with beard balm.
Can beard oil help your beard grow faster? We often get asked this question. Beard oil is a great beard conditioner, but did you know the right beard oil can also help your beard grow in healthier? Although nothing can change the rate at which your hair grows, beard oils containing unrefined jojoba and pure argan oil help create the conditions for healthy growth, which means less breakage so your beard will appear thicker and longer faster.
This invaluable grooming tool can help you clean up your thick winter beard to look clean cut and respectable, rather than to give the impression that you’ve been neglecting personal hygiene for weeks.
While properly using a beard trimmer requires a bit of time and practice, you’ll soon get the hang of it. Here are some tips to help you get the most from your trimmer (and the look you hope to achieve):
Beards are sometimes the subject of art[80][81][82] and competition. The World Beard and Moustache Championships take place every other year; contestants are evaluated by creativeness and uniqueness among other criteria. The longest beard that a person has ever possessed was 17 feet long and belonged to Hans Langseth[83] (the longest beard of a living person is 8 feet[84]).
During the Chinese Qing dynasty (1644–1911), the ruling Manchu minority were either clean-shaven or at most wore mustaches, in contrast to the Han majority who still wore beards in keeping with the Confucian ideal.
Like each supposed flaw of the self that we notice, beard patchiness is significantly more apparent to the beardsman himself, than to the onlookers. Similar to thinning hair or embarrassing scars, the beholder spends much more time looking at, acknowledging, and thinking about beard patchiness than anyone else does. Onlookers will notice you have a beard and will most likely not give it a second thought. As with so many things in life, handling supposed beard patchiness is all about confidence and not dwelling on things that you simply can’t control. If you can accept it and move on then so will anyone else who takes notice.

The Braun 9 series has an extra trimmer as compared to the series 7, which the brand calls ‘Direct and cut’. The trimmer is used to align the hair that grow in different directions and then cuts them away.

Lucky Scruff has some night products also, esp the hand made soap for beards. He offers 3 different kinds right now. The beard oils, while the 3 on his main page I didn’t care for, the beard of the month club has some better ones. (Scent wise, the conditioning aspects of the main oils are awesome, but I like the oils that have a scent and I found no scent in the 3 samples)
Quality Construction: This model is clearly one that was designed with longevity in mind—you can tell by just looking at it. Paired with its two-year warranty, you can rest assured that this model will serve you for the long haul.
Now, how thick your beard is and how fast it grows vary a lot based on genetics. But the important thing for young guys to know is that if you’re under 21, you’re nowhere near the mature phase of beard growth, so if you’re expecting fine beard hair or patchiness, know that this isn’t a sign that you can’t grow a beard. Give it a few years, and you’ll likely be pleasantly surprised.
Hey guys. My beard is pretty thick and most of the time pretty unmanageable haha. My hair is somewhat coarse, wirey, curly and generally kinda just grows all over the place. It tangles and mats up and pulls and catches something fierce. I can hardly brush it with it catching and pulling. Even when damp or after fresh oil it still pulls. Plus I have a hard time getting oil to the skin bc of the thickness I have. Not to mention under my jawline doesn’t seem to want to grow down. It’s kinda like kudzu vine. It’s just wraps around itself and doesn’t provide and length. The hairs from above the jawline and my cheeks grow down and are fairly manageable but the underside not so much. I can brush it down 20 times and it just knots right back up. It’s got thickness and fullness but I’m not able to show my true length (which I could be proud of if I could display it) any recommendations on how to try and tame this “briar patch”?

[…] Bessarion later embraced the Catholic faith and in 1455 lost the election to become Pope with eight votes against fifteen from the cardinals. One of the arguments that was used against the election of Bessarion as Pope was that he still had a beard, even though he had converted to Catholicism, and insisted on wearing his Greek habit, which raised doubts on the sincerity of his conversion.
Go for a natural boar bristle brush like this one from Smooth Viking, which features 100% black wild boar bristles. Boar bristle is superior to synthetics because it doesn’t irritate the skin below your beard and is easy to work with.
I am going through a difficult phase. Can anyone help me? The problem is that my beard is not growing properly. I have the thin beard this is really looking awkward. My friends have dense facial hair and that makes me feel depressed. I am not feeling confident nowadays. I am just trying to avoid the female friends with the fear that they will not find me attractive. I have tried many products, but that did not help me much. I am desperately looking for some help. Have you gone through this phase at some point in your life? If anyone has the same problem then please share with me and help me to come out of the situation. I am looking for your help.
Not sure if you’re ready for beard oil yet? Never fear my classy friend. Many beard oils come in sampler sizes so you can purchase smaller amounts to test before you commit to one brand. Here is a list of the beard oil sample packs I know of.

That’s not unusual for those with thick beards. You may need to use more oil, yes, but other things you can try are applying the oil when your beard is still slightly damp. Now, this can be tricky. Applying oil when your beard is too damp can make it appear greasy, so you may have to do a little experimenting to see what works best for you. But by applying it before your beard is completely dry will help trap that moisture in your beard. Next, it’s always a good idea to top the beard oil with beard balm. The oils in the balm will also help to condition your beard, and the sealants will help your beard stay hydrated longer by sealing in the moisture.
When you first start growing a beard this isn’t something that you had in mind. Don’t you worry though. I prepared this article for you to guide you step by step and understand how to soften your beard easily and with not too much effort.
This local and all American oil offers some really great bonuses if you choose to go with them. First of all, it is important to say that the oils are completely natural and an added bonus is that there is a guarantee of no nut oil use when it comes to this brand so you can rest assured if you have an allergy.
To really help these products do what they need to do make sure that you’re massaging the oils and balms fully through your beard and the skin beneath your beard so the roots get the moisture they need to become softer, and therefore, more manageable. A firm boar’s hair brush is a great tool to exfoliate the skin beneath your beard and distribute the oils through your beard fully. Rocky Mountain Beard Balm is made from all-natural ingredients sourced throughout Canada (where the company is headquartered) and North America, and packed with eight essential oils. It also includes beeswax and shea butter to help you on your quest for control.
Short Battery Life: 50 minutes is not an incredibly long charging time, so if you are someone who wants to be able to use your trimmer for a long time without having to reconnect it to the charging port and wait, then this is something for you to consider. It also takes 4 hours to get a full charge, which can be a long time for many.
