More Seattle love: Posse On Broadway Google Map

I don’t know if you have this problem, but sometimes you’re out trying to locate the posse, and you know they’re probably somewhere nearby, say on Broadway, but you just don’t know how to find ‘em. Well, thank Google because they just made posse finding that much easier.

Imagine back to 1988 when Sir Mix-A-Lot wrote Posse on Broadway. When he was in the limousine with the cellular phone (you know the kind that looked like you were calling in an air strike rather than ringing up the homies), it must have been near impossible to coordinate with the posse. Today, Sir Maps-A-Lot could whip out the iPhizzle, text the posse, receive some coordinates, Google Maps ‘em up and track them down in no time.

For lovers of Seattle or Sir Mix-A-Lot, take a minute to explore this Posse On Broadway Google Mashup, and then compare it to the video. Not only will you get a quick Seattle geography lesson, you will also wonder why the only place in Seattle that actually looks “ill” is a burger stand called “Dick’s.” Also, take note of the best lyric from the song: “I’m the J.R. Ewing of Seattle” - oooh, snap! Surely, there’s an Oakland musical-map mashup we can create. Any recommendations from the posse?
