A-Mo (aka. Lil’ Jack) needs a ride.
While I think it’s kind of novel that I could share a train with Anthony Morrow to my next Warriors’ game, I do think it’s time for the management to help get my man some wheels. And a place to live while they’re at it. Really.
Even if he never scores another point in a Warriors uniform, I’d say he earned it with his first NBA start. But, some how I don’t think that will be the case. I feel more points coming from Coco Rain. Particularly now that Captain Jack has announced he is A-Mo’s self-appointed guardian.
Within weeks of coming to the Warriors, Morrow had earned the nickname “Little Jack” because he reminded people of Stephen Jackson, whom he resembles from a distance. (In college, he went by A-Mo.) Jackson welcomed the comparison and decided to quasi-adopt the rookie.
“I always like the underdog,” Jackson said. “I root for them in movies. I root for them in sports. … Players who make it when they’re not drafted, I love their attitudes. Last year, I said C.J Watson was my son. Now, he’s got a brother.”
Gwen Knapp filed this profile of our undrafted rain-maker just this morning. A good read, but it’s shocking to read how close this guy is to having so much, while he still has so little. I guess that’s the paradox of professional sports, especially when the lion share of the talent pool comes from communities that are struggling to get by.
Thankfully for A-Mo he has a sweet jumper that’s 70% money and his boy C.J. to get him get him to the plane ontime – even when he misses the Airporter connection.
Now, regarding the above FTB customized Dodge Challenger… Trust me Lil’ Jack, if we could, we most certainly would.

A-Mo is a weak nickname. So is Lil’ Jack. It’s all about Chocolate Rain baby!

I agree. I’m feeling Choco Rain. Mad props. I really hope that’s the one that sticks. However, I urge you to think inclusivily MM.
At this early stage in the season (and my man’s carrer) it’s nice to have a few handles to work with. If only literary purposes.
As for tonight against the Trail Blazers – I hope more Chocolate Rain is in the forecast.

It’s official. Chocolate Rain is no fluke. 25 Pts on 8 for 12 shooting. Including 3 critical free throws in the closing minutes.
