Design/ers for O

It’s a simple premise, and a good one. Designers and artists create arresting artwork for their political candidate and then share freely. It seems, not so surprisingly, that the left leaning visual community has a heavy bias toward Mr. Obama. As it’s been highlighted in previous posts, some top names have jumped in the act for Barack. Here at FTB, we’ve been known to dabble a little too.

Recently, a new site, Design/ers for Obama, was developed to extol the power of iconic poster art, as well as create an online, collaborative community to aggregate the oncoming deluge of imagery for Obama. Users can rate and download the submitted artwork for their own reproduction. The site was created by Rhode Island School of Design (Shepard Fairy’s alma mater) students, Aaron Perry-Zuckerand and Adam Meyer in response to a call to action from Design Observer, a well read design and culture blog.

Good enough for me. Thus, zee blog juice.

Gd.
