Return of The White Shadow.
We’ve always thought Don Nelson looked a bit like Ken Howard from “The White Shadow.” Give or take 50 pounds, a light beer and a few Cuban cigars.
Our friends at GSoM picked up on this post by the Press Democrat confirming his intent to return. Beyond the good news for the Dubs, Lowell Cohn provided a fun article. It included some nice insights about Don’s state of mind and a little window into his life in Maui. Certainly worth a read.
So, now that White Shadow is coming back, what about the Dizz?
This was Don’s take:
“Of course, he’s coming back,” Nelson said.
“Why?”
“He has one year left at $17 million. That’ll do it.”
Makes sense to me.
