The tip jar runneth over this week. This time, a humble request from an honest purveyor of fine beard-care products.

Dear Daniel, Guthrie & Matthew,

I came across your site on beards, and would like to ask if we can get a link from your site.

Our website is www.beardcareproducts.com which is a small home-based business selling specialty beard care products.

I appreciate your kind consideration and would like to send you some samples also to help your evaluate our products.

Thanks,

Taz

Frankly, I’ve never gotten mail from anyone named Taz before. That’s fresh enough by itself. But the product looks like it might pump my beard game up a notch or two as well. And since none of us want to end up with DeShawn’s shagginess, Rasheed’s patchiness or Shaq’s new, “big-rogue” look, we at FTB proudly present a link that will (hopefully) enhance the luster and suppleness of your chin gristle and keep your “grind mode” on lock. Click this link for more product info and stay tuned for the FTB reviews once the free samples arrive. Oh yeah. First blog-generated free product. Hells to the yeah.

Now let’s see. The Beard himself drives an Aston Martin. And a Prius. If the fine folks at Aston Martin Lagonda, Ltd., would like to have FTB sample their product I will happily guarantee an honest, thoughtful appraisal of the strengths and strengths of their vehicle lineup. You too, Toyota. Operators are standing by.

Cheers,

Turman

  1. Indeed. Standing by and ready for test driving.

I actually found the 4 simple steps for beard care quite helpful. I think Rasheed might want to give the list a perusal.

The role of proper beard care in the development of a healthy beard is of vital importance. Just like hair care, the beard also needs to be have proper grooming and conditioning.

There are four simple steps that make the entire process a breeze:

Step 1: Wash your beard daily or atleast as often as you wash the hair on your head. The beard accumulates dirt and grime faster and may come in contact with different types of foods as well. Use a mild wash or shampoo, preferably one that is designed specifically for facial hair for optimum results.

Step 2: While the beard is still wet, comb it downwards for a neat look, so that when it dries it doesn’t puff up. Brush out the tangles with the comb or as an alternative run your fingers throught the thickest part of your beard as you move downwards.

Step 3: Apply either conditioner or oil, and if you don’t want to use a specially formulated product, the best choice is olive oil, which is soothing to the beard and has been the natural conditioner of choice for centuries. For best results, massage thoroughly along the jaw line until you are sure that you have penetrated to the roots of your beard.

Step 4: Resist any inclination to scratch the skin beneath the beard, and try to soothe it with shea butter which is known for its moisturizing properties and is also known as an anti-inflammatory agent. This or another moisturizer of your preference will also assist in reducing the notorious beard itch that is all too common in new growth.
