Andris and Andrei. What if?

06.7.2007 | 10:55 am | The Warriors

Without doubt, the Warriors need fortification getting boards and blocking shots. But no one I’ve talked with would want it at the expense of our exciting, fast-paced offense.

I’ve heard no rumors, but when I read articles like this one from Utah’s Deseret News, I can’t help imaging Kirilenko running free in Nellie’s free wheeling system. Especially if he plays like he did to close out the Warriors, putting up 21 points with 15 boards.

Besides, the idea of locker room scuffles over Russia’s history in Latvia or who used the last of the hair gel, would be just plain funny.

Mullin, any ideas?

Jazz and Kirilenko stuck with each other

Even if Andrei Kirilenko is unhappy as a member of the Utah Jazz, team owner Larry H. Miller said recently that it’s likely the team and the Russian will have to co-exist through the four years and more than $63 million left on Kirilenko’s contract.

Speaking on Channel 4’s “On The Record with Chris Vanocur” TV show to air at 9:30 Sunday morning, Miller said, “Whether it’s attitude, physical, lack of talent, whatever – whatever it is – the way he played for much of this year, he’d be pretty tough to move.
