Scoop your brain up out of the gutter and peep game. Rick Barry hit over 90% of his free throws for the career shooting them granny style. Last season, Andris Biedrins got his FT% up from an abysmal high-30th percentile to a still pretty bottom-dwelling 52%. Progress, I suppose, but still numbers that will invoke the feared “Hack-a-Latvian” strategy in crunch time.
I found this video to be very educational. DT told me that Rick even got Wilt to shoot his underhanded for a season. It doesn’t look very cool, but it seems to be pretty effective. Andris, you game?
